Position Summary

California Baptist University, an evangelical Christian university affiliated with the California Southern Baptist Convention, invites applications for tenure-track positions to begin in July 2018 in the areas listed below. Candidates must embrace the mission of California Baptist University and evidence a clear understanding of, and commitment to, excellence in teaching through the integration of the Christian faith and learning. A terminal degree is required (PhD is prioritized), and terminal degrees in the area of information systems or quantitative analysis/statistics are preferred.

The Dr. Robert K. Jabs School of Business is growing both in terms of its business programs and its student body. We are looking for an Assistant Dean for Graduate Programs to join our inventive and passionate team. This full-time, tenure track faculty position (rank open) will begin with the in July 2018.


Candidates must have prior managerial experience and a track record of teaching excellence. In addition, candidates should have strong potential as scholars and hold a terminal degree in a business discipline. Specializations in information technology or quantitative/statistics are prioritized. Responsibilities include managing and growing graduate enrollment, representing the Jabs School of Business to current and prospective students, advising students, recruiting and developing a pool of qualified adjuncts, engaging with the local business community, and participating in strategic planning with the Jabs School of Business Dean. The Assistant Dean is responsible for new graduate program development and coordinating with other CBU schools and colleges to pursue new opportunities, both domestically and internationally.

Teaching Responsibilities

This position involves teaching responsibilities at the graduate levels predominantly in a traditional classroom setting.
