Position Summary

California Baptist University, an evangelical Christian university affiliated with the California Southern Baptist Convention, invites applications for the following faculty position. Candidates must embrace the mission of California Baptist University and evidence a clear understanding of, and commitment to, excellence in teaching, scholarship and service through the integration of the Christian faith and learning. A terminal degree in the field applicable to the posted position is strongly encouraged.

This posting has an anticipated/tentative start date of Fall 2018.

Qualifications

The Department of Business in the Division of Online and Professional Studies invites applications for a full time tenure track faculty position for undergraduate and graduate programs in: Computer Information Technology, Network Administration Management and Information Technology Management. The successful candidate should possess a terminal degree related to the field, although candidates with a Master’s degree who are working toward a terminal degree, and have significant experience in the field, may be considered. Strong candidates will demonstrate confirmation of teaching effectiveness, exceptional oral and written communication skills, and evidence of, and/or the potential for scholarship. Faculty duties include teaching courses at undergraduate level, engaging in research and scholarship, professional involvement germane to the area of specialization, and serving with purpose and distinction within the community.

Teaching Responsibilities

This position involves teaching responsibilities in the graduate area of business administration with a focus on management as well as areas including, but not limited to: Management Information Systems; Project Management; Information Systems Security; Information Systems Infrastructure; Current and Emerging Technology; Disaster Recovery Planning; Cyber Law; and Regulations and Compliance. Other duties may include developing or amending program curriculum, assessment of learning outcomes, and teaching in an online and/or hybrid setting. This position does require a local (Southern California) presence.
