Position Summary Information

Summary

Compiles, maintains secretarial and general administrative clerical work to support the Office of the University Registrar; provides information to callers and minor administrative support by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Other duties may be assigned.
1. Provide assistance as a first point of contact to all phone calls and walk-in traffic.
2. Answers and screens telephone calls, set-up appointments for students, staff, and faculty to meet with University Registrar staff.
3. Receive and distribute transcript requests, letter requests, and verification requests.
4. Complete and provide assistance with semester student mailings and notifications.
5. Maintenance and development of office forms.
6. Receive and distribute incoming mail, and prepares outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mail and faxes.
7. Composes and types routine correspondence.
8. Records receipt of documents through maintenance of logs and databases.
9. Document student contacts including phone calls and walk-ins in the student information system.
10. Make copies of correspondence or other printed materials.

- Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures.
- Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
